Fran Speer M.A., L.P.C., L.P.A. graduated from Lander University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a Counseling Emphasis and obtained her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Appalachian State University. Fran is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been specializing in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and families for twelve years. She has expertise in assessing for Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Fran also provides ongoing individual, family, and group therapy for clients and families experiencing issues related to grief, ADHD, behavioral issues, Autism Spectrum Disorders, mood dysregulation, trauma, and anxiety. She is committed to meeting clients where they are, and uses evidence based interventions and psychoeducation to create stability and well-being.Fran believes in teaching parents how to access and utilize their strengths to help them transform their interactions with their children to be more nurturing and impactful. She enjoys collaborating with parents and families to help them strengthen their success and relationships and tailors treatment to meet individual and family goals.
